Madrid is always full of life. Street artists, lively terraces and art. So much art.

One of my small daughter’s favourite things to do is watch the street artists play and perform. She then claps her hands and gives them a coin.

The street style is relaxed, more bohemian than in fashion cities. And there are all types of styles walking around, and chilling out over cervezas and “tinto de verano” on the terraces. In Malasaña, in Chueca, in Lavapiés and all the other colourful neighborhoods.

Madrid loves everyone.

It is also the most liberal city in Europe. A city where you see a man dressed in a suit kiss his boyfriend goodbye in the street in the morning, before both walk off to work. As it should be everywhere. Love is love.

Rainbow flags are seen hanging from windows and balconies everywhere. Glittering in the sun.
